How we notify members of benefits
VFW offers a range of benefits, from Internet service to insurance plans. We make every effort to keep our members informed of available programs, i.e. direct mail, seminars, email, VFW magazine and phone calls. Additionally, we mail a Member Benefit brochure to all annual members, as well as new and reinstated members.
Due to the complexity of some plans, authorized agents may contact members who have expressed an interest. These plans are:
• VFW Sponsored Long Term Care
• Annuity, Funeral/Cremations
• Medicare Advantage
• Medicare Part D Prescriptions
• Emergency Medical Air plans
These plans are offered through several major companies to accommodate interested members. Highly trained, certified and licensed representatives are available to meet with VFW members and their families to customize a plan.When agents visit, they will have identification to affiliate them with the VFW Sponsored Plan i.e. badge, ID card.
In some instances, seminars are also being conducted for these programs. The company offering the plan hosts the seminars and the invitations will indicate the VFW sponsorship of the program.
